Escape to wild Nimba County, indulge in an ecolodge experience.

Nimba Ecolodge & Reserve is an ecotourism facility situated in the East Nimba Nature Reserve (ENNR) encompassing the Nimba Mountains. The Mountain Lodge was envisioned as an environmentally and financially sustainable means of managing the vast landscape of over 11,553 hectares that is ENNR through Nature Preservation, Community Development and Promotion of Tourism. It is a social venture undertaken by Jos Travel & Tours and Libassa Ecolodge in a partnership that taps into the expertise and experience of both entities as pioneers in the travel and ecotourism sector of Liberia.

Daily Entrance

The Warkolor Jungle Lodge is opened Thursday to Monday of every week from 9 am to 6 pm. We are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The price tags below include a 4×4 transportation from the reception to the jungle lodge and back. The first departure from the reception is 9 am and the last departure is 6 pm prompt. The last return trip from the jungle lodge to the reception is 8pm prompt

Wildlife & Consevation

The East Nimba Nature Reserve (ENNR) is an isolated refuge covered with montane forests, making the landscape an exceptional site from the ecological perspective. The 11,553 hectares reserve comprises of grassy plains at its peak followed by, montane forest, and lowland savannah, and Raphia swamp. The ENNR is every environmentalists’ dream; the region is home of some of nature’s must precious and elusive creatures. Other jewels are the African Swallow-tail butterfly, the world’s largest butterfly and the nearly extinct Nimba Otter Shrew. Other animals include the Nimba Toad, Nimba flycatcher (Vulnerable), and the endangered Chimpanzees, which are famous for their distinctive tool use repertoire
